GuitarFreaks é un gioco dove note colorate viaggiano per lo schermo. Esse corrispondono a 3 pulsanti colorati su un controller a forma di chitarra. Il giocatore deve premere i pulsanti pertinenti sul controller e muovere il "pluck" quando le note raggiungono la cima dello schermo, al fine di riempire le parti di chitarra mancanti dalla canzone.
